Body language for success with women and dating
Body language comprises of seven factors, and this lecture introduces us to them, before we explore them fully later on in the course. Understanding mixed messages and how to avoid them, is crucial in order to be an effective communicator.
Our body language gives us away in terms of displaying our true feelings, so it is essential that we fully learn the eight areas that our body language influences.
The other great thing about body language is the changes are small and subtle, but they can be tricky to use all the time but through effort and practice you WILL become a natural.
For example, as I am writing this in a coffee shop the waitress can tell I am head-first in my laptop working on something, because of that she knows to keep me refilled and to not disturb me much. The changes take place when they are close enough to meet each other's gaze and will continue until after they have passed each other, at which time their original posture returns.Body language is a fundamental part of courtship because it reveals how available, attractive, ready, enthusiastic, sexy or desperate we are. Albert Scheflen, author of Body Language and the Social Order, found that, when a person enters the company of the opposite sex, certain physiological changes take place.
He found that high muscle tone became evident in preparation for a possible sexual encounter, 'bagging' around the face and eyes decreased, body sagging disappeared, the chest protruded, the stomach was automatically pulled in, pot-bellied slumping disappeared, the body assumed an erect posture and the person appeared to become more youthful in appearance. This means you could almost instantly know if they're being honest or deceitful... or whatever they might be thinking or feeling at the moment - simply by observing their actions and movements! If understanding nonverbal communication sounds unbelievable, let me assure you that it is based on sound scientific research and studies.
