Updating white kitchen cabinets
Love the birds, what a fun styling idea for that space above the cabinets.Yes there are new colourful ones but then we’re back to the avocado appliance of the 70’s. Back to the actual question, can you have white appliances in a white kitchen? When the home renovators behind Studio Mc Gee were presented with a client's kitchen, they immediately noticed its deep brown palette (true to its Tuscan aesthetic) was absorbing the room's natural light. To create a predominantly white kitchen with dimension, the designers painted the upper cabinets with Simply White by Benjamin Moore, and splashed the lower cabinets with Pavillion Gray by Farrow & Ball.
I even found a trio at the thrift store for a great price!
Kirk hired painters to spray the cabinets different colors for a two-toned kitchen.
The top cabinets are painted with Benjamin Moore's Dove White and the bottom cabinets are painted with Benjamin Moore's Chelsea Gray.

Then clicked my way over to Lisa's blog, A Vintage Vine for all the details. I used the pillowcases for window treatments in my laundry room as seen here.
I can remember second guessing myself after we put in our offer for the house knowing that the ugly cabinets were apart of the deal! I really hoped to add some type of open shelving to this empty wall. The couple tore out the walls to combine the kitchen and the living room, installed completely new cabinetry, and replaced the countertops for a white kitchen that reflects the natural light from two large windows.
